Your first full day in Agra is a spectacular one; begin the day with an early start where you will be taken to the Taj Mahal to watch the stunning sunrise at one of the finest pieces of architecture in the world. Taj Mahal, created by Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife’s dying wish that he should ‘build a tomb in her memory such as the world has ever seen before’ is a magnificent symbol of love that still an icon of love today! Make sure to bring your camera along for some incredible honeymoon snaps. Afterwards make your way to Agra Fort, also known as the Red Fort of Agra, where you will be transported into a fairy tale like oasis with picturesque palaces, halls and marble mosques, which is a wonderful way to end a day of exploring the romantic sights of India.

Now you’ve seen the beauty of Agra it’s time to change scenery in Jaipur. Head west to the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur, which is the capital of Rajastjan. On the way you will stop in Mughal city, a deserted and preserved city, which was abandoned only 16 years after it was founded due to lack of water supply. The city remains to be a wonderful sight to visit to get a feel of Mughal culture. Tuck into a delicious lunch at Laxmi Vilas Palace, which is a wonderful highlight of your India honeymoon, the Palace features intricate architecture from the inside out, from the open courtyard space to the tranquil outdoor pool and a well-appointed spa. The next highlight of your honeymoon will be exploring the Chand Baori, the ancient step wells of India with stone steps and water storage wells compromising of a staggering 3500 steps across 13 storeys – gaze down at the sheer size of the Chan Baori, which would have been used by the locals.

Enjoy the wonderful sights of Jaipur with your full day of sightseeing, which, at your choice can begin with an optional hot air balloon ride, where you will tower above the bustling city for an exciting and romantic start to your day. The full day of sightseeing includes visiting the ancient Amber Fort that overlooks the beautiful Maota Lake from its hilltop location. Explore the Fort’s stunning features, from the magnificent grounds to the Sheesh Mahal, which homes a thousand mirror fragments – it’s said that a single candle can light up the entire room! Next up is a visit to the City Palace for viewing magnificent Mughal architecture with a museum and art gallery. Afterwards make your way to the Royal Observatory to experience the breathtaking views of the Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of the Winds, which features a unique exterior resembling a honeycomb of a beehive. Finally, you will ride through a local market to experience the buzz of local life in Jaipur before returning back to your hotel.
