Overview

The 4* Ravenala Attitude is one of several hotels in a beautiful complex situated in Balaclava on the northwest coast. Tucked away in an exotic garden between the Indian Ocean and the Citron River. Perfect for newly weds or couples who want to enjoy their very own privacy and some great water sports, Ravenala Attitude is strikingly different as it is a complete blend of colonial and contemporary styles and certainly is a little piece of paradise!

Room Types

The rooms at the Ravenala attitude are innovatively furnished to capture the magic of Mauritius. They offer comfortable and relaxing living with a king size bed with a living area with planter’s armchair, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities and A/C, Wi Fi and satellite TV. The bathroom has separate shower and toilet. Outside there is a large furnished balcony or terrace.

Couple Suite

This room is light, bright and very comfortable and stylishly decorated with lots of rattan features and medium wood furnishings accentuated by dramatically large photographs capturing images of island life.
Executive Seafront Adult Suite

Situated in the Adult Only wing of the hotel, this is a perfect room for newlyweds as it offers peace and serenity in a cocoon of luxury. The room is beautifully furnished and generously sized with a beautiful balcony/ terrace for enjoying both by day and night. To complement the exclusivity of these rooms, the hotel has a beautiful Adults Only restaurant – right on the beach.

Facilities

For those who want to relax and spend their days in luxury, the Ravenala attitude is perfect and has three beautiful pools plus the beach. There is a very special Spa where you can enjoy massages and bodycare in gorgeous surroundings. There are four signature treatments that combine natural products with essential oils and these can be enjoyed together in one of the double treatment rooms which features a private whirlpool bath too. The Spa also has a Hammam and Sauna.

The Ravenala Attitude is big on watersports and there are just so many to enjoy including snorkelling and diving (PADI) as well as canoeing, pedal boats , stand up paddles, windsurfing and waterskiing. There is fishing too – both big and small game fish and parasailing and a fun aqua gym! On land there is floodlit tennis, a sports centre and gym and bicycles and scooters to hire.

Ravenala Attitude is just 15 minutes from the capital Port Louis and Grand Baie and Pampelmousse Botanical Gardens and Mauritius Aquarium are both within easy reach too.

Restaurants

The Ravenala Attitude has ten different restaurants offering cuisines from all over the world and offers guests a special deal so they can try them all. Whilst some of the restaurants are larger and buffet style, others are small, intimate and perfect for dinner for two. There are six bars too where you can relax and enjoy a cocktail as day slips into evening and if you fancy dancing the night away there is a disco too.

Mozaik

This is the hotel’s main restaurant and offers meals all day through and these are international classics and favourites.
Madame Ming

This stylish restaurant has an a la carte menu which includes a theme menu one night per week. The food is beautifully prepared and presented and the ambience is very romantic.
A Tavola

For those who enjoy Italian food this is the perfect place! A Tavola offers both buffet and a la carte.
O for Ocean

This wonderful restaurant sits right on the beach and you can enjoy a relaxing casual meal (with plenty of seafood options) with your feet in the sand. Alternatively, there is a decked area with generously sized large comfy chairs too – al fresco dining in a relaxed mode!
The Bistrot

This fun factory theme restaurant offers salads, burgers and tapas dishes at dinner. The restaurant is open six days a week and becomes an adult only venue on a Friday night. Decorated with wooden tables and chairs and old bicycles hanging on the wall, it sure does offer a fun dining experience
Riviera Seafood

What a stunning location this restaurant has as it floats on the water of the lake and at night time this small and exclusive restaurant is totally enchanting and very romantic.
Kot nou

Enjoy spicy Mauritian food at its best in this unusual restaurant that is situated in a traditional Creole house with rattan walls and highlighted by the mustard coloured soft furnishings. The food really is traditional Mauritian – colourful, spicy and delicious!
Lime

Lime is a really fun concept and is solely for the use of guests staying in the Executive Seafront Adult Suite. Lunch and dinner enjoyed on the beach at this sushi and salad bar.
Taba-j

Enjoy the best of Mauritian street food without leaving your hotel! Food is served from fun-painted trucks and chairs and tables are under the trees. Lunch can be enjoyed here and afternoon tea for two!
Beach BBQ

Enjoy island dining on the beach at Beach BBQ, which serves a range of grilled specialties at the bar or on the beach with buffet style dining. This restaurant is included in the Dine Around Experience.
