Room Types

The rooms at this delightful hotel are airy and spacious, decorated in muted shades, with tiled marble floors and traditionally styled Sri Lankan wooden furniture. The canopied beds are comfortable and romantic with their net drapes. Each room has a balcony or terrace with wooden tables and chairs and stunning views of the ocean. There is an attractive bathroom with shower and there is a flat screen satellite TV, a mini fridge and bar and in room dining is also available. For comfort all rooms are air conditioned. There is complimentary Wi Fi available in all public areas too

Standard room

There are 56 of these attractive rooms that are spacious and comfortable with walls decorated with local pieces of art and a beautiful canopied double bed. With a floor area of 36m² they are perfect for two. Outside on the terrace/ balcony there are rattan chairs for relaxation.
Suite Room

There are eight of these special 52m² rooms with their high beamed vaulted ceilings and light, bright decoration throughout. As well as the beautiful king sized canopied bed, there is a living area with wooden table and chairs. In the bathroom there are twin wash basins, a shower and a bath. The outside seating on the terrace/balcony has wonderful views of the ocean.

Facilities

Perfect for those wanting to simply relax, the Dickwella resort has a beautiful salt water pool overlooking the beach. The hotel stands on a peninsula with private sandy beaches on both sides, but swimming is only from the left beach.

The stylish Ayurveda Spa is a very tranquil haven offering a good selection of stress melting treatments! The hotel offers yoga and early morning fishing trips and has a tennis court too.

Water sports are popular at Dickwella and there is a dive centre for all levels with boat trips for proficient divers. There is plenty to see under the waves including turtles, lobsters and rays and there is a shipwreck to explore too under the guidance of the hotel’s excellent dive master. Windsurfing and canoeing is also available.

For those wanting to explore further afield, the hotel organises excursions to two national parks, a rain forest and for whale watching.

Surf Spray

This attractive restaurant is the main one with both inside and outside dining on the terrace with its glorious sea view. This restaurant offers guests delicious European classics as well as the best of Sri Lankan cuisine with buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner and an extensive a la carte menu. The option of enjoying lunch, dinner or a BBQ by the shore or under swaying palms in the garden is available too.
The Pizzeria

Open for lunch and dinner each day, the Pizzeria offers relaxed Italian dining with delicious thin crust pizzas topping the menu! The pizzas are baked in the hotel’s traditional Italian stone oven and there are a myriad of toppings to choose from! For pasta lovers, there is a selection of different dishes too.
The Baywatch

Perched high in the resort's beach tower offering great sea views is the Baywatch. This is the perfect location to relax with a delicious snack or a drink choosing from a list of signature cocktails & mock tails – especially at sunset.
