Room Types

The resort offers a choice between rustic beach bungalows and the newly built water villas.
  • Beach Bungalows

    Opt for one of the 44 beach bungalows and enjoy stunning views over the Indian Ocean as well as easy access to the beach, your own private deck with armchairs and sun beds, and an open-air shower.
  • Water Villas

    The 21 super-stylish water villas are built over the ocean and have their own large private terraces and ample living space decorated with rattan furniture and boasting parquet wood flooring. There is a sofa bed and mini bar in the lounge, a spacious bathroom with twin basins and walk-in shower, and a walk-in closet. All water villas offer direct access to the ocean.
  • Junior Suite

    The Beach Junior Suites are elegant havens of tranquillity and comfort which boast a separate living room with large sofa bed, and a spacious furnished veranda. These suites also provide direct beach access.
  • Two Bedroom Water Villa

    Situated at the end of the pier, the two of the two Bedroom water Villa features 2 expansive bedrooms that look out to the private terrace and Indian Ocean. Enjoy spacious living with an expansive living room furnished with elegant style and furniture for casual and comfortable living. Step out onto the expansive terrace to find a large secluded Jacuzzi and dining and sitting area. Villa amenities include a double four-poster bed, fan, tea and coffee making facilities, Wi-Fi, safe, walk-in wardrobe, open-air shower, beach towels and personalised toiletries.

Facilities

For a sumptuous pampering experience head to the Serena Spa and book yourselves a couples massage, but if you want to indulge in some retail therapy pop into the elegant Spherique Boutique and peruse their colourful stock of handicrafts and artefacts which hail from exotic destinations like Thailand and parts of Africa.

If you want to work up a sweat or just enjoy some gentle exercise the resort offers a selection of leisure activities such as beach volleyball, table tennis, Pilates and yoga, as well as a range of water sports. These include sunset snorkelling, windsurfing and canoeing. You can even rent a boat or try a day of big game fishing if you’re feeling particularly adventurous.

Restaurants

Diamonds Athuruga is home to five restaurants, one on the island and one constructed over the water.

The Main Restaurant serves up a daily American buffet breakfast, a buffet lunch and delightful dinners featuring a variety of Asian, Italian and traditional dishes. There is also a pizzeria and the restaurant offers theme nights and fish barbecues not to mention fresh seafood if you opt for a private dinner just the two of you.
The Over Water restaurant offers a similar selection of buffet breakfasts and lunches, followed by varied dinners characterised by primarily Asian cuisine.
The resort also boasts Main and Over Water bars serving up a wide selection of fruit juices, soft drinks, wines, beers and cocktails, while champagne and premium spirits are also available, though at extra cost.
  • Thari Over Water restaurant

    Perched over the crystal clear lagoon, Thari Over Water Restaurant offers a fusion of European and Asian cuisine in a spectacular and romantic setting where you can enjoy cocktails while looking out to the sunset.
  • Maakeyn Buffet Restaurant

    The Main Restaurant, located on the island, serves three lavish meals a day, consisting of a hearty American breakfast buffet, an equally delicious buffet lunch and a diverse dinner menu featuring a variety of Asian, Maldivian, Oriental and Italian dishes. Theme nights and fish barbecues are a highlight at this delightful eatery. Special seafood menus are available if you want to arrange a private romantic dinner.
  • Farivalhu Maldivian Restaurant
