Room Types

The rooms at Alaya Ubud are elegant with muted earthy tones that complement the spectacular traditional Balinese wall decoration and rattan wall hangings. There is a comfortable kingsize bed, air conditioning and ceiling fans. For total relaxation there is a mini bar, tea and coffee facilities and LCD TV. The bathroom is stylish with a shower and his and hers kimonos and slippers. Outside, there is a spacious and beautifully furnished balcony or terrace to relax by day and night.

    The perfect place to relax together, these rooms are truly stylish in muted calm colours with lovely wooden furniture both inside and out.
  • Alaya Room

    This room is the signature room of the Alaya Abud with its original artwork that harmonise with the soft colours and highlights of colour provided by the fresh flowers. The bathroom has a customised stone bathtub for lazing in and simply enjoying.
  • Alaya Suite Rooms

    Luxuriously spacious with soothing decor and marble floors, these suites offer couples the chance to relax together with separate living area with soft comfortable chairs and an attractive private balcony/ terrace. The bathroom area has a round stone bathtub.

Facilities

The Alaya Ubud has been designed to encourage guests to relax and has two attractive swimming pools for just that. One of the pools is an elongated, curvy design with a romantic bamboo bridge spanning midway and there are plenty of comfortable loungers and umbrellas for those who want to just stretch out. The Dala Spa offers a variety of signature treatments that can be enjoyed together in the spacious and elegantly decorated rooms. There is also a well equipped gym.

The Bale is a Balinese pavilion situated in the grounds and overlooks a small river and lush vegetation. This space is used for yoga and meditation, cookery classes and Balinese dance lessons and can be transformed into an idyllic setting for a candlelit dinner for two.

If you want to explore the locality, there is the chance to enjoy the colour of the local market or some ‘retail therapy’ in the shops or for something really memorable, two elephants waiting for you both to enjoy in the safari. There are many places to visit that are within 15 minutes walk of the hotel including the Ubud Monkey Forest, Peliatan Palace and Agung Rai Museum of Art. If you prefer to explore further afield, bicycles can be hired.

As night falls, there is plenty of fun activities at the Alaya Ubud with Gamelan dancing most evenings as well as live music from some of Bali’s top musicians.

Restaurants

The food at Alaya Ubud is a wonderful fusion of diverse flavours of international and Indonesian cuisine and the traditional Indonesian dishes from all over the archipelago have all been given a modern twist. The Bamboo Bar with its thatched roof and typical island style is perfect for drinks all day long and definitely the place to enjoy a cocktail as the sun goes down.

If you would like a beautifully romantic meal either to enjoy on your terrace/ balcony or in a special location in the hotel grounds, this can be easily arranged.

The Vintage High Tea is a very special occasion with tea being served in the middle of a lush paddy field! There are cups of tea, sandwiches and delicious small cakes and there is something rather special about the setting!
  • The Petani Restaurant

    This elegant restaurant with its vaulted ceiling is where good food can be enjoyed throughout the day – beginning with a delicious breakfast incorporating local fruits and juices.. The menu changes constantly as the very best seasonal ingredients are used by the Chefs to create memorable and romantic dinners. The tables are romantically decorated with flower petals.
