The Excelsior is tastefully decorated throughout and its guest rooms are spacious, carpeted throughout and coloured in soft creams and golds with splashes of vibrant colour. There are large floor to ceiling windows and in the living area there is a flat screen TV with satellite channels, an MP3/ Ipod docking station, tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge with mini bar. The bedroom areas are spacious with a king size bed and in the elegant bathrooms there is a bath tub with separate shower, bath robes,slippers and complimentary toiletries. The Excelsior is situated just a few minutes walk from the MTR railway station and within easy distance of many 'must sees' sites including Happy Valley racecourse (1.1km), Harbour City (2.1 km), Temple Street Night Market (3.2 km) and Victoria Peak (3.8 km).

It is also within easy reach of two shopping malls selling all the well known brands such as Nike, Apple and Prada as well as a great selection of restaurants. There is a shuttle bus that operates from outside the hotel to Hong Kong station.
