They began their honeymoon by exploring the Bentota markets, which was less than 5 minutes from the hotel by a Tuk Tuk. Bentota markets offer vibrant stalls selling fresh food and fruit, giving you a taste of local delicacies.
Christmas arrived during their stay, which was brought to life with festive décor and Christmas carols.
Next stop was Bentota river, the couple took an early morning river boat ride and saw some fantastic wildlife, where they got to hold a baby crocodile. This excursion can be booked at the hotel.
The beach held a lot of romantic moments for the couple, including watching the stunning sunset while enjoying cocktails. Centara Ceysands Resort and Spa offer plenty of evening entertainment including a beach party!
The turtle conservation is located only 15 minutes from Centara Ceysands Resort and Spa by a Tuk Tuk ride, where you have the opportunity to release a baby turtle!
Venturing a little farther in Sri Lanka, the couple spent a day in Kandy, a gorgeous countryside town with stunning views. In Kandy you will experience an entirely different side to Sri Lanka than in Bentota, stumbling across from majestic temples, to seeking out natural landscapes on the spice garden and tea plantations.
Animal lovers will want to head to the elephant orphanage, which is perfect for all ages.
The couple used their Sri Lanka trip to tie the knot as well as the base for their honeymoon.
