Room Types

The accommodation at the Kahala Hotel is light, bright and with classic features and is situated in several wings. Rooms and suites are available with a variety of views and also with either a small 'Juliet style' balcony or generously sized lanai. The rooms all have a living area with 40” flat screen cable TV, a DVD and iPod dock. There is also tea and coffee making facilities and a mini-bar. The room has a king size bed, dressing area and bathroom. Bath gowns, slippers and toiletries are provided. For comfort there is air conditioning and ceiling fans and Wi-Fi is available throughout.
  • Beach Front with Lanai

    This beautiful room (51 sq m) is situated in the secluded Dolphin lagoon wing. With relaxation in mind, the room is coloured in soft hues with some lovely eclectic furniture and has a comfortable sitting area, bedroom area and separate dressing area. The bathroom is beautiful as it has an antique wood washstand containing the basin. Outside there is a really spacious balcony (lanai) with table and chairs overlooking the beach and ocean just a short distance away. This room type is also available with an ocean front view of the Pacific.
  • Ocean Front Lanai

    With stunning views of the ocean from its spacious lanai (balcony) which has table, chairs and sun lounger, this room has floor to ceiling windows for really soaking up the view of the Diamond Head volcanic cone. Inside there is 51 sq m of floor area in light colours with a kingsize bed, comfortable chairs, day bed and oversized bathroom with double vanity basins, bath tub and shower.
  • Ocean Front

    Situated in the Kahala Tower wing of the hotel, this room has views of Koko Head Crater, Diamond Head and the rolling waves of the Pacific, which can be enjoyed from the Juliet style balcony. Inside this lovely room (51 sq m) is decorated in chic island colours with beautifully crafted dark wooden furniture. There is a sitting area, king size bed and a stylish bathroom with deep soaking bath tub.
  • Dolphin Lanai

    With stunning views over the beautiful and secluded dolphin lagoon, this 51sq m room is certainly appealing! It is situated in the two storey Dolphin Lagoon Wing and has either a furnished balcony (Lanai) or terrace There is a lovely sitting area, dressing area and the separate bathroom but for many hours, the views of the dolphins as they play and swim will be magical.
  • Scenic Lanai

    This lovely room has views of the Ko'olau Mountains in the distance and at night, the twinkling lights of Honolulu. Its beautiful balcony – lanai – measures 15 sq meters, whilst inside the room has 51 sq m of floor space with an attractive living area, stylish bedroom area – with hand crafted king size bed – and bathroom.
  • Tower Suite

    With panoramic views of the ocean from its spacious balcony, this suite is very special for two people as it is luxuriously furnished with Hawaiian decor with 102m² of floor area, it has a beautiful four poster king size bed and an attractive separate living room. In the stylish bathroom, there are twin vanities, a bathtub and walk-in shower. This suite also has two TVs.
  • Ocean Front Suite

    With a large furnished Lanai overlooking the ocean, this is a beautiful suite. Situated in the Kahala Tower it has marvellous views that are accentuated by its huge floor to ceiling windows. With 102 sq m of floor area, this suite offers luxurious living with a large and comfortable living area, king size bed and beautiful over-sized bathroom.
  • Scenic Ocean View Suite

    This suite really offers a variety of views including the ocean, Ko'olau mountains, green Waive Country Club and the Koko Head Crater. With 102 sq m of floor area, this suite is luxurious and comfortable with a spacious living room area, bedroom area and over sized bathroom with twin vanity units, deep bath tub and separate shower. The beautiful lanai is 11 sq m and furnished with table, chairs and sun lounger.
  • Kahala Kai Signature Suite

    This stunning suite overlooks the crescent-shaped beach of fine white sand. The 116m² suite has a double aspect ocean view with twin terraces and its decoration and furnishings are Ralph Lauren inspired. This suite is stylish, luxurious and perfect for two. It is situated in the Dolphin Lagoon Wing which is quiet and secluded and there is easy access to the beach. The furniture is from the Polo Collection by Ralph Lauren and the colour scheme is soft and mirrors the natural palette of the surroundings. There is a king size bed and over-sized bathroom with glass rainfall shower. Guests in this suite enjoy many privileges including use of an ocean front cabana and a complimentary Lomi Lomi massage for two.

Facilities

Just a short distance from its own private stretch of white sand beach, the Kahala is perfectly situated for those who want to relax and enjoy the magnificence of the Pacific Ocean. The hotel also has a beautiful swimming pool and sun terraces and as well as sun loungers there are cabanas for two. If you fancy learning how to surf or stand up paddleboard there are lessons and there are fun exercise sessions on the beach, too!

The Kahala Spa is a serene setting for enjoying a wonderful range of treatments. Each of the treatment rooms has its own personal relaxation area for maximizing on the deep sense of relaxation from the treatments. There is also a good gym facility.

The 'stars of the show' at the Kahala Hotel are the six Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins that can be seen playing and swimming in their ocean water lagoon, there are also marine turtles and stingrays to see in other lagoons and the chance to become their keeper for the day.

The Kahala offers its guests complete serenity compared to the colour of Waikiki with its huge array of shops and restaurants. The hotel does have a regular complimentary bus shuttle.

    This wonderful restaurant is situated right on the edge of the beach and has inside and outside terraces under sun umbrellas and offers exceptional meals from its international menu throughout the day.

    This wonderful restaurant has a relaxing ambience and offers innovative fusion cuisine from Hawaii, Asia, Europe and the Mediterranean. It certainly has an excellent reputation and is known as one of Hawaii's best restaurants.
  • Seaside Grill

    This delightful informal restaurant is situated under the trees, close to the beach and has rattan chairs and tables with aqua soft furnishing s to mirror the colour of the ocean. Ingredients are all fresh such as the seafood, salads and grills plus irresistible desserts.
  • The Veranda

    Elegant with teak floors and furniture with cream coloured cushions to complement the wood and tall ceilings with candelabra, Veranda is sophisticated and the perfect place to relax over drinks or earlier in the day, to enjoy its wonderful afternoon tea.
