Room Types

Originally a private estate that was built in 1889 converted to a hotel in 1924 and extended several times since, the Fairmont Miramar today has 302 guest rooms and 32 secluded bungalows. All of the rooms and suites have a casual Californian elegance and clever mixture of classical and contemporary styles plus the luxury of marble bathrooms.

All of the rooms/suites have a king size bed, comfortable chairs and 42” flat screen TV with in-room movies and a coffee making machine. The bathrooms have either a bathtub or shower and beautiful black marble counters and there are dressing gowns and complimentary toiletries. There is air conditioning throughout and Wi-Fi is available at a daily charge.

Premier Ocean View Room

This attractive room has views facing north towards Malibu or south towards the Santa Monica pier. The 26 sq m room is attractively decorated in soft tones that mirror the colours of the beach and ocean. There is a comfortable king size bed, relaxing chairs and a writing desk. The walls are decorated with vibrant photographs. The room is light and bright as there are floor to ceiling sliding doors that lead out onto the furnished balcony. This room type is also available as a Deluxe Ocean View Room with partial ocean views or a Deluxe Room which has city or garden views. All of the rooms have a furnished balcony.
Fairmont Palisades Room

This lovely room, with city views, is situated in the Palisades Wing and has 37 sq m of floor space and is furnished in lovely tranquil tones of pale sand with blue and green highlights to mirror the colour of the ocean and beach. This room has a microwave, mini fridge, coffee machine and kettle.
Tower Suite

Situated on the top floor of the Ocean Tower, this 51 sq m suite offers dramatic panoramic views. The walls are decorated with classical grass cloth wallpaper and there is a comfortable living area with sofa, armchair and coffee table and separate bedroom area with king size bed.
Miramar Ocean View Suite

This delightful suite (72 sq m) is situated in the historic Palisades Wing and is a perfect blend of classical and contemporary styles. There is a comfortable living area with a sofa, armchair and coffee table as well as dining table and chairs and there is a well-equipped kitchenette. The bedroom has a lovely king size bed and the attractive bathroom has either a bathtub or shower.
Palisades Suites

These 46 sq m suites are located in the Palisades Wing and have a large living area with separate bedroom. They are available with city or garden views and are beautifully decorated in relaxing tones
Bi-level Bungalow

Situated on the beach side of the hotel and overlooking the beautiful hotel gardens, these bungalows are the perfect romantic retreat. They were built between the years 1920-1946 in the relaxed Californian style with grey wood floors and walls. With 93 sq m of floor space, they are very spacious. There is an attractive lounge area with sofa, armchairs, coffee tables and rug. Upstairs there is the bedroom with king size bed and marble en-suite bathroom with shower or bath tub.
Signature Ocean View Suite

Situated in the historic Palisades Wing, this attractive suite combines classical and contemporary styling perfectly. There is 46 sq m of floor area and the floors are hardwood. There is a living area with sofa, armchair and coffee table with a separate bedroom area and en-suite marble bathroom.
Signature Bungalow

This beautiful bungalow is situated in the lush gardens and is very private. The bungalows have their own manager to ensure that your hideaway stay is kept immaculate. The bungalows have 33-39 sq m of floor space with wooden floors. The comfortable sitting area has a sofa, armchair, coffee table and desk. The attractive bedroom has a king size bed and the en-suite marble bathroom has either a bathtub or shower.

Fairmont Miramar encourages its guests to relax after time spent exploring Santa Monica or LA.The hotel has beautifully maintained gardens and very enticing abstract shaped outdoor pool with sun deck – the perfect spot to top up your tan on your honeymoon. The Hotel has a luxurious spa offering a range of pampering treatments and you can also make use of the hot tub and there is a fitness centre with both indoor and outdoor elements. The hotel is just a couple of minutes from the beach.

Restaurants

There is a wonderful restaurant to tempt you and two really good bars to enjoy. The Lobby Lounge overlooks a lovely pond stocked with koi carp and is a relaxing setting for lunch, dinner or cocktails. The Bungalow is a Baja inspired casila that is has a relaxing ambience for drinks and is perfect place to be as the sun begins to set.

Fig Restaurant

The Chefs in the restaurant pride themselves in the fact that 90% of the produce they use is locally grown organic produce. The restaurant is a Mediterranean style bistro with a wood burning oven and grill and the food is all sourced from local farms so is seasonal produce at its best. The dishes are simply prepared and cooked so that diners can enjoy the big flavours of the foods themselves. Meals can be enjoyed in either the restaurant or the casual Pewter Bar.
